So myself and my lovely wife Julie took the train down to Edinburgh so that we could attend Inclusive Networks second event as I missed the first event because I was speaking at the University of Sunderlands #IDAHOBIT event and had promised Thomas Andersom that I would definately be at this one. Here is a sad fact too, That day was the first time that myself and Julie had ever been on a train together since we met in 1990. Now keep that to yourselves.
Anyway on arrival at the Glass House in Edinburgh we were escorted to the Rooftop and treated like celebrities first getting our photographed against the PAP board as you do and then taken onto the Rooftop Garden where we met up with the loveley Thomas Anderson.
Within in minutes of arriving and saying hello to people I spotted Jordan and even though I’m extremely shy I had a mission in my head to get my photo taken with such an inspirational person and dashed over to her to see if she would oblige. To my shock she did and what a down to earth person she is and yes I was still nervous whilst getting this amazing photo taken.
I even got sunburnt sitting outside on the roof chatting to some amazing friends such as kate Adair, Lucy Cameron, Jenny Robertson, Craig Orourke, Ciaran O’Connor and the list goes on. I’m so sorry if I’ve missed you out #OldAge #ThatsMyExcuse, I loved meeting you all !
Inside there was Mark Vice showcasing some of his gorgeous art and gourmet popcorn company Joe & Seph’s and drinks from Scottish brands Crabbie’s, Ogilvy Spirits and Foal and global brand Vita Coco. We were all spoilt and the best bit was hearing Jordan Gray play for the first time in Scotland. Truly an amazing voice and personality, If you ever get the chance to hear her perform just do it!
In the picture above who can spot two amazing people or should I say role models Douggie Bosphore-Ward and his husband Mika? it was fantastic to finally meet them both.
Also I met up with a very good friend Carole anderson who is also an impressive Stonewall Scotland Role Model.
The great photographs in this post were taken by some very skilled photographers John Dyer and Yemi King thank you.
Once again I’d like to thank Thomas Anderson of Inclusive Networks and the Glass House Hotel for such an amazing event.
